I recently had the pleasure of photographing this young rising star.  Miss V is a super talented performer with aspirations of becoming the next Taylor Swift.  On top of her incredible talents as a stage actress and singer, she is one of the kindest, sweetest young ladies you could ever hope to meet.  Watch out world, this little lady is about to make a big loud noise!

Little Locke

This past summer, I got to photograph my cousin, Timmy, and his beautiful wife, Alexis, with their new baby boy, Locke. Locke is the sweetest, happiest little guy I have met in quite some time but his demeanor is not surprising to me as my cousin and his wife are incredibly genuine, down to earth people who know how to just go with the flow.  They make my job SUPER easy and I just loved getting to spend to some time with this little man!  Too stinkin’ cute! :)

A Lovely Parisian Engagement

What better place to celebrate an engagement than Paris.  Not too long ago, I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Kathy and her fiancé Arthur in the city of lights. Rather than opt for the usual iconic backdrops, of which there are plenty to choose from, I really wanted to find a unique and special location.  I don’t know Paris well at all but a quick google search lead me to the 12th arrondissement to a tiny little street called Rue Crémieux.  This tiny little street is such a hidden gem.  It looks like a movie set, too perfect to be real.  The light that falls in the middle of this street was indescribable.  Like nothing I have ever seen.  I can’t imagine what it must be like to live in this little wonderland day after day.  This was definitely a highlight of my trip.  I can’t wait to go back to find more hidden gems like this one.  Congratulations Kathy and Arthur!

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is incredible, especially in the summer months.  Any chance I have to visit and shoot there is such a treat for me and most recently, I had the pleasure of shooting close friends there along with their super cute boy/girl twins.  Check out all the action!  Have you booked your family session yet?  Don’t let these memories pass you by.  Start creating them today!

The Dogpatch

It’s crazy how fast time flies but I really do love getting to see how much families grow year after year.  I am looking forward to seeing this beautiful family again shortly.  Here are some shots from our last shoot in one of my favorite areas in all of San Francisco, The Dogpatch.  This neighborhood, with its textures, light, and backdrop, is hands down the best!

The Dunes Club

The end of summer/beginning of fall is a great time to take family portraits especially if you head back to the beaches which are practically empty at this point.  I met up with little Eddie and his family at the Dunes Club for his very first family photo shoot.  It’s so much fun to shoot new families and this family could not have been sweeter.  This little boy’s face makes my heart melt every time I look at his pictures and his parents were beyond lovely.  We had the most incredible afternoon of shooting.  Have you captured your families memories for 2014?  It’s not too late! Don’t let these moments escape you!

Fenway Beach

It’s always such a pleasure to photograph old friends.  This summer, I had the opportunity to re-connect with my friend Christine and meet her beautiful family.  Christine and I grew up spending our summers together in southern Rhode Island.  We met up on a warm summer evening at one of my favorite beaches to capture these portraits and we ended up shooting until the sun went down.  This is my favorite time of day to shoot where the light is absolute perfection.  I just love it!

Little Compton

It still amazes me how small Rhode Island is and yet there are still so many places here that I have never seen or spent any quality time in.  Little Compton, located in Newport County, is one of those places.  Quick history, according to 17th century land evidence, Little Compton originally belonged to the Sakonnet tribe, who were led by Awoshonks, cousins of Metacomet (commonly known as King Philip).  In 1682, the town was incorporated by the Plymouth Colony and renamed Little Compton.

Some friends of ours who were renting a fantastic house in this this sleepy little beach town invited us to join them for a few days at the very beginning of the summer.  It was the perfect weekend getaway with gorgeous weather and lots of exploration to beaches, nurseries, and farmer’s markets.  This place is so picturesque and I can’t wait to get back here for another visit next summer.

Lands End

What do you do when the government shuts down your photo shoot??  That’s a scenario I recently encountered when I met up with one of my favorite twin families.  We had all planned to meet at China Beach to shoot this year’s portraits except, due to the government shut down at the time, the gates to the beach were closed, therefore, denying us access. Thankfully, in San Francisco, there is no shortage of exceptional places to shoot so we jumped up the street to Lands End and did our shoot there.  It’s so fun to see how much George and Charlotte have grown in just a year’s time.  I am so thankful to have the opportunity to capture another year of memories for this beautiful family.

Chloe has got to be one of the coolest little quirk burgers I have ever met.  She is funny, sassy, creative and has a super cool style all her own.  I met her, her parents, her grandma, and her dog Marley at one of my favorite all time shooting areas in SF, Heron’s Head Park.  The weather was just superb!  It’s days like these that make my heart ache for SF.  I am so thankful I get to come back out and meet super cool families like this one and capture these memories for them.  Check out all the action!
