Baby Amory
Recently we packed up the twins and jet-setted across the country to be there when the newest addition to our immediate family arrived. Just 3 days into our trip, my sister gave birth to baby Amory, her third child, and we were all over the moon for her. She is a little slice of heaven and I am so glad we got to meet her in the first few days of her life. Here she is, just three days old. She’s such a natural in front of the camera!

Just in time for the Holidays
My husband and I are over the moon with the arrivals of our boy/girl twins, Frances and Henry. They were born on November 20 at 3:21am (Frances) and at 3:54am (Henry). Frances weighed 6lbs. 12oz. and Henry weighed 6lbs. 15oz. Pretty big babies for twins! We were very thankful that they were born so big as it meant they were in good health and did not have to spend any time in the NICU.
Today is extra special as we are celebrating two events: the twins’ one month birthday and the 15th anniversary of my husband’s mother’s death. Polly, whose real name was Frances until she legally changed it, would have loved to have met the twins and even though she can’t physically be here to hold them and give them sweet kisses, we know, wherever she may be, she is sending them loads of love and keeping a watchful eye. We are thinking of you too Polly!

Watch Hill Afternoon
A few weeks ago I got to spend some time with four of my favorite little cuties, my nieces and nephews. These kids are hilarious and so much fun to shoot. Not that they really have much of a choice as I always have a camera in their face!
Trust me, they’re used to it by now. Here we are on a visit to Watch Hill where they rode on the merry-go-round and munched on popcorn. I swear it feels like it was just yesterday that I was grabbing that brass ring myself. You gotta love these moments.

The Lost Coast
Over the 4th of July weekend, me and my hubs drove north to the Lost Coast and stayed in a little town called Ferndale, a Victorian village in Humboldt County. We took the long way driving through the Avenue of the Giants, a narrow road that winds through some of the largest redwoods I have seen yet since moving to the west coast. Absolutely enormous and incredibly stunning. Soon thereafter we rolled into Ferndale, a super quaint town with B+B’s that love to decorate their rooms pink, perfectly manicured colorful houses, and a full on Main street that was gearing up for their annual 4th of July parade. It was quintessential Americana. A perfect way to celebrate the 4th.

Finao One Album
Not too long ago I attended the wedding of some friends and although I was not the wedding photographer, I did capture enough images to put together an album for them as a wedding present. This is an 8×8 flush mount leather bound album. They are super sturdy and have a gorgeous and simple presentation to them. I love my albums to look clean and classic so as to stand the test of time. Take a look!

Super Saver is a Super Winner!
It’s official. The Kentucky Derby is my new favorite event. And it’s not just because the horse I pulled from a hat took home all the pretty roses, though that was pretty awesome. $100 bucks awesome! It’s the gorgeous tradition, the hats, the mint juleps, everyone singing “My Old Kentucky Home”, all packed into two minutes of pure excitement! I love it! And I love YOU Super Saver!!!

Not Your Typical Baby Shower
Recently I was on a farm just outside of Chicago for my friend Esther’s baby shower. I’ve known Esther for many many years. Since elementary school. As kids, we used to spend hours perfecting our dance and gymnastic routines and dressing up in ridiculous costumes. And just because we are now in our 30′s doesn’t mean that ANY of that has changed. Well, maybe not so many gymnastic routines these days but CERTAINLY plenty of dancing and most definitely costume wearing with whatever we can get our hands on. And we did this the ENTIRE weekend. I hadn’t laughed so hard (or eaten so much) as I did when I was there. What a great way to celebrate life. Congratulations Esther and Dan! I can’t wait to meet baby Crazy Horse!
