Stumped on what get a loved one for V-day this year?  How about a 5×5 unique photo album?  Not only are these albums incredibly affordable but they are perfect size to toss into your bag and bring around to show off to your friends and family.  It’s also a great way to start a library to document and watch your family grow over the years.  These albums can be purchased individually or with a portrait package which includes a full photo shoot, an online gallery, as well as a slew of various sized prints.
Customize your album from a bunch of colorful and interesting fabrics. Each album is then presented in a burlap bag with your family’s name written in calligraphy.  It is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face! :)

I love spending time with my grandmothers.  They are both 94 years old and have lived such different yet extraordinary lives.  My nana, the first lady in this post, has travelled all over the world and even been boating with Jackie and JFK.  My Mimi has given birth to 13 children and you wouldn’t believe how tiny she is!  That’s my dad, her 5th child, in this last picture.  They are both such great story tellers, I could listen to them for hours.  These days, the stories are a little harder for them to remember but I can still seem them in their faces and feel them when I hold their hands.

I ❤ New York

On a recent trip back east for some portrait work (posts coming shortly) I walked by this wall in the meat packing district and had to photograph it. New York is full of colorful art everywhere that gets passed by daily.  I like taking moments like this to stop, look, document, and admire beautiful gems such as these not just in New York but wherever I am.  As we get older, life seems to move even faster.  Don’t be afraid to slow down every once and a while.
